Cost of Caring Project Manager

The University of Minnesota School of Public Health conducts research focused on improving the health and well-being of communities. The Project Manager will coordinate a multi-site research project examining the health impacts of paid care work, managing project administration, communications, reporting, grants, and research support activities.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking the progress of research projects from inception to completion (utilizing tracking spreadsheets, work plans and GANTT charts)
• Serving as a point of contact and leading project-related communication with funders, research partners, and collaborating organizations
• Coordinating agendas and documentation for regular team meetings
• Scheduling internal meetings as well as meetings with external partners
• Updating grant reports, budgets, and related administrative materials
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and applications
• Providing administrative support for the principal investigator and other team members
• Conducting literature reviews specific to particular carework team projects
• Supporting applications for data access and the completion of data use agreements and IRB documentation
• Collaborating with team members in preparation and submission of reports, publications, and data for presentation at professional conferences and meetings
• Integrating citations into research products utilizing citation software (e.g., Zotero)

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's degree plus at least 4 years of experience or advanced degree plus 2 years of experience or combination of related education and work experience to equal 8 years
• • Two years of demonstrated experience in managing multiple complex projects
• • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
