Quality Assurance Software Engineer - Salesforce

Wedgewood Pharmacy is dedicated to improving animal health through customized medication and compassionate care. The Quality Assurance Software Engineer will design and execute automated, API, Salesforce, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end tests across interconnected systems. The role will also help identify risks early, troubleshoot defects, investigate production issues, expand regression coverage, and improve CI/CD quality practices.

Responsibilities:

• Building automated tests with Playwright and TypeScript
• Testing REST APIs with Postman and automated testing frameworks
• Testing Salesforce functionality, including custom objects, Flows, integrations, and Marketing Cloud
• Creating integration and end-to-end tests across multiple systems
• Performing thoughtful exploratory testing that goes beyond happy-path scenarios
• Validating data using APIs, SQL, logs, and application interfaces
• Working directly with developers while features are being built—not waiting until they're finished
• Participating in story refinement and helping identify requirements, edge cases, and risks early
• Troubleshooting defects and helping determine root cause
• Investigating production issues when something doesn't behave as expected
• Expanding automated regression coverage
• Helping integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Looking for ways to continuously improve how our team approaches quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Hands on experience with the following Technologies:
• REST API testing; Salesforce, Playwright, TypeScript, Postman, JSON, SQL, Git
• You don't need to know every system we use on day one. You do need to be curious, comfortable learning new technology, and willing to dig into a problem until you understand what's actually happening
• Experience working with Salesforce integrations or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is especially valuable
