Social Media & Content Marketing Intern (interest in Japanese culture)

Acadium is seeking a creative and motivated apprentice to help build and grow a social media presence for a U.S.-based business. The role focuses on creating and managing social media content, researching Japanese culture and trends, engaging with audiences, and supporting outreach initiatives during a three-month remote apprenticeship.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage social media content
• Develop engaging posts, captions, graphics, and other visual content
• Help build a consistent social media presence and brand voice
• Research Japanese culture, trends, topics, and relevant online communities
• Plan and organize a social media content calendar
• Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to grow the audience
• Engage with followers and respond to comments or messages
• Research potential audiences, communities, and connections
• Support outreach initiatives once the social media foundation is established
• Suggest creative ideas to increase engagement and reach

Requirements:

• Strong interest or understanding of Japanese culture
• Interest or experience in social media marketing
• Creative and comfortable creating social media content
• Basic graphic design skills
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, or similar platforms
• Understanding of social media trends
• Organized and able to manage content consistently
• Proactive and willing to suggest new ideas
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
