Clinical Contracts Project Manager I - NCCT

Atrium Health’s National Center for Clinical Trials is an innovative platform supporting the conduct of clinical trials and the translation of research into improved patient care. The Clinical Contracts Project Manager I will manage intake, documentation, pre-award coordination, and study initiation for non-federal clinical research studies, including budgets, contracts, workflows, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the intake and start-up process for clinical research studies including industry-sponsored, investigator-initiated, and collaborative research
• Support pre-award functions by facilitating task assignments for contract negotiations, coverage analysis, budget development, and financial feasibility assessments
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (regulatory teams, study team, investigators, pharmacy, legal, OCR Pre-Award team, and IRB) and external partners (sponsors, CROs) to drive timely study activation
• Track, compile, and present project milestones and metrics to ensure adherence to institutional and sponsor requirements
• Review and verify complete submission of project and assess the need for additional information/documentation
• Participate in meetings and communications to provide project updates and ensure alignment across teams
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows
• Support financial forecasting and budget maintenance during the pre-award phase

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of clinical trial management systems and electronic medical records
• Detailed understanding of clinical trial operations and challenges from the site perspective
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
