I hope you're doing well. My name is Srikanth, and I'm a Senior Technical Recruiter at Software People Inc. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer position located in Richmond, VA (Hybrid), and I believe your experience could be a great fit for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead cybersecurity efforts to assist the CIO in planning and implementing initiatives, managing vulnerabilities, security operations, and incidents across the IT team.
Respond to threats, ensure compliance, and manage security threats with ITD and IS professionals.
Oversee the daily management of security activities alongside IS and IT teams, including regular reporting to the CIO.
Monitor events, logs, and anomalies, and assist in managing future architecture designs to ensure data capture is sufficient for monitoring security.
Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC), including security monitoring tools and managing staff.

While a CISSP or CISM certification would be beneficial, they are not mandatory for the role.

This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with an open rate.
