Data Analyst

Relentless builds technology and programs that activate low-turnout voters and support civic engagement. The Data Analyst will provide day-to-day reporting, fulfill internal and partner data requests, create and maintain reports, and produce accurate participant outreach lists. The role also supports data infrastructure, evaluates outreach effectiveness, documents reusable queries, and develops LLM-enabled workflows for data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Triage and fulfill incoming data requests from internal departments and partners, including ad hoc counts and user lists, validating figures and flagging numbers that don't hold up
• Work with the Product Manager and Associate Data Solutions Director to prototype and implement standard reports that will be used by staff and partners
• Pull participant outreach lists the Associate Data Solutions Director specifies using our in-house software Rally and/or BigQuery
• Coordinate with the Associate Solutions Engineer on digital infrastructure and suppression logic Use participant activity data to determine if our outreach efforts are effective, and to proactively identify opportunities to increase our impact. Document recurring queries and report logic so they can be reused throughout the program
• Use LLMs to create skills and workflows that help other departments explore and analyze their data

Requirements:

• • Strong understanding of SQL: joins, aggregations, window functions, and the ability to debug others' queries
• • Experience with Google BigQuery or another data warehouse
• • Able to execute multiple tasks and deliver by given deadlines
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information in an accessible way to non-technical staff
• • Commitment to fighting for progressive electoral outcomes
• • Thrives in a highly-collaborative remote work environment. This position is entirely virtual and requires access to reliable internet and proficiency in online platforms and tools (Google workspace, Zoom, Slack, etc.)
