Senior Software Engineer - Android

CVS Health is a healthcare company focused on delivering more connected, convenient, and human-centered health experiences through digital innovation. The Senior Software Engineer - Android will develop, maintain, integrate, and deploy Android applications for pharmacy and wellness products, while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, and UX teams to deliver new features and seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, integrating and deploying Android Applications
• Writing efficient, well-documented code with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose / Java in Android using Android Studio
• Working in OOP and design patterns, such as MVVM, MVC, Strategy, etc
• Creating core libraries, application framework, and Android architecture
• Working with concurrency including Thread, Handler, java, Coroutines and scheduling techniques
• Working with Product Management, Engineering, and UX team members to influence the android application development

Requirements:

• • 5+ years of experience in software development working on enterprise-class applications
• • 3+ years of experience working on Android front-end development
• • 3+ years of experience developing for multiple device sizes such as mobile phone and tablets, also including portrait & landscape
• • 3+ years of experience and understanding of the entire Mobile SDLC using Android SDK
• Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
• • Ability to effectively handle and protect sensitive and confidential company information
• • Good understanding of ADA and other regulatory compliances including PCI, PII and PHI
• • Good Knowledge of CI/CD, build automation tools like Jenkins
• • Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight
• • Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form
