DevOps Engineer

Clair is a financial technology company creating a digital banking platform that helps America's workers access their pay quickly. The DevOps Engineer will own critical system architecture, improve infrastructure reliability, and build secure, scalable systems supporting fintech, embedded finance, and real-time payroll applications.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, automate, and manage our cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Oversee the reliability, performance, and monitoring of our systems using self-hosted Grafana, Sentry, and Laravel Nightwatch
• Manage infrastructure and specialized environments for AI, data science, and ML workloads
• Drive security and compliance efforts, including helping with SOC2 and PCI DSS audits and implementing technical controls
• Develop and maintain internal tools to support cross-functional teams
• Manage AI integrations and internal AI tools

Requirements:

• • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• • Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and automation
• • Strong security mindset
• • Strong coding background; must be willing to learn/work with our PHP/Laravel stack
• • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases (any database experience is okay)
• • Ability to manage infrastructure for AI/ML/Data Science workloads
• • Experience handling compliance audits (e.g., SOC2, PCI DSS)
• • Experience working in a fast paced startup environment
• • Ability to periodically travel for team headquarters meetings and company on-sites
