Senior Databricks Data Engineer- Energy Trading

Datronix Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Databricks Data Engineer for a long-term engagement with an energy trading company. The role will build and optimize scalable Databricks data pipelines and platforms while supporting energy-trading data, systems, governance, and stakeholder needs.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and data platforms using Delta Lake
• Experience with Databricks capabilities such as Unity Catalog, Workflows, Auto Loader and Delta Live Tables/Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, governance and performance optimization
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
• Direct experience supporting an Energy Trading business
• Familiarity with energy-trading data, including trades, positions, pricing, market data, risk, exposure, settlements and P&L
• Experience integrating data from ETRM platforms or other energy-trading systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders
• Candidates must have genuine, hands-on Energy Trading experience . General commodity trading, utilities, or oil and gas experience without direct exposure to energy-trading processes, systems, and data will not qualify
• Experience with power, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, renewables or other energy products
• Knowledge of front-, middle- and back-office energy-trading processes
• Experience modernizing an energy-trading data platform or migrating trading workloads to Databricks
• Databricks certification
