About this role

CBRE is a commercial real estate services and investment company. The Project Designer develops accurate design documentation for building management control systems, primarily HVAC controls, and performs related calculations, component selection, drafting, and documentation activities.

Responsibilities:

Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequence of operations, panel layouts, termination details and equipment schedules
Create cable pull drawings
Create submittals and O&M manuals
Perform basic electrical calculations to ensure system operation and safety
Perform sizing calculations for control valves and dampers
Select components based on availability, project estimate, job requirements, regulatory compliance and engineering standards
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines

Requirements:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience
In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design Technology or related field
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
Knowledge of general computer applications
Bachelor's Degree in HVAC/R or related field preferred
Well versed with HVAC application engineering, design, sequences of operation for electrical circuits and schematics. Must have working knowledge of standard trade industry practices
Knowledge of computer drafting applications with a thorough understanding of basic drawing, CAD layout and concepts
