Data Analyst Senior

Progressive Insurance is an insurance company dedicated to helping employees advance in their careers. The Senior Data Analyst will support emerging business initiatives through reporting, business performance analysis, trend monitoring, and strategic decision support, transforming complex data into actionable recommendations for business and operational leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical support for innovative business initiatives
• Focus on reporting, business performance analysis, trend monitoring, and strategic decision support
• Partner with business leaders to identify emerging risks, challenges, and opportunities
• Transform complex data into actionable recommendations that guide business strategy and operational decisions
• Anticipate analytical needs, uncover developing trends, and recommend solutions that help partners address challenges and capitalize on opportunities
• Establish foundational reporting, performance metrics, and analytical frameworks for new or evolving initiatives

Requirements:

• A minimum of six years of analytical work experience
• {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years of analytical work experience
• {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience
• Sponsorship for work authorization for foreign national candidates is available for this position
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Snowflake, including querying, transforming, analyzing, and troubleshooting large and complex datasets
• Proficiency in analytical programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or similar tools, including automation and development of reusable analytical solutions
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms, with the ability to design dashboards and communicate complex findings through effective data storytelling
• Demonstrated ability to identify emerging risks, challenges, and opportunities and develop data-driven recommendations that influence strategic and operational decision-making
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights, build cross-functional partnerships, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
