Software Engineer Intern: Fall 2026

Mocko is a specialized interview preparation platform that simulates real finance interview formats. The Software Engineer Intern will help build and improve the platform by developing back-end features, fixing bugs, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to back-end features
• Writing maintainable code
• Fixing bugs
• Participating in code reviews
• Collaborate with engineers and product team members to implement new functionality, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of core services
• Learning and applying best practices in software development, testing, and documentation while working in an agile environment

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems concepts
• Practical experience with Software Development and Programming in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go)
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in real projects
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate in distributed teams
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and basic software testing practices
• Interest in finance or fintech products is beneficial but not required
