AI & Emerging Technology Researcher

SWJ Technology provides engineering, planning, and project management services across various industries. The company is seeking an AI & Emerging Technology Researcher to support IT innovation by identifying practical applications for emerging technologies, developing prototypes, and applying software engineering, analytics, data preparation, and machine learning to improve products, services, and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business-critical data and processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions
• Perform advanced analytics on complex datasets, optimization problems, and system designs
• Evaluate the effectiveness, quality, and reliability of data sources and data collection methods
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes
• Partner with internal and external teams to explore innovation opportunities and transition them into prototype and industrialized solutions
• Design, develop, and implement custom data models, algorithms, and machine learning solutions
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy and scale solutions
• Act as an internal consultant, supporting developers and engineers across all phases of the product lifecycle
• Provide guidance on emerging technologies and support team development through mentoring and on-the-job training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and non-technical documentation
• Communicate requirements, progress, and results clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise
• Support additional tasks as required by leadership
