Fullstack Software Engineer, DX

Atlassian is building DX Fabric, a platform that provides engineering organizations with software context, health signals, and impact measurement for AI-native engineering. The Fullstack Software Engineer will build scalable backend-heavy features, REST APIs, and React components while collaborating across engineering, product, and design to improve customer outcomes. The role also involves developing software catalogs, scorecards, self-service workflows, and agentic capabilities at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities:

• Build and ship features and capabilities daily in a highly scalable, cross-geo distributed environment
• Focus on backend-heavy fullstack development, building robust REST APIs while contributing to customer-facing React components
• Review code with best practices of readability, testing patterns, documentation, reliability, security, and performance considerations in mind
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to understand user pain points and iterate on great solutions
• Ensure full visibility, error reporting, and monitoring of high-performing backend services
• Participate in Agile software development including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team retrospectives

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience building and developing backend applications with a lean towards fullstack capabilities
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in any modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, Python)
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and supporting libraries (e.g., React, Node)
• Experience crafting and implementing highly scalable and performant RESTful micro-services
• Fluency in at least one database technology (e.g., RDBMS like Postgres and/or NoSQL like DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns and hands-on experience with public cloud offerings (AWS preferred)
• A passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal and communication skills
• This role is open to candidates across all U.S. time zones, with a preference for Pacific or Mountain Time
