Position Overview
We are looking for a Java Developer to design and develop a scalable, high-performance automated locates platform supporting the securities finance business. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, microservices, distributed systems, cloud technologies, messaging, caching, and relational databases.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop a scalable, high-performance automated locates platform for the securities finance business.
Build distributed systems and enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Develop and maintain microservices-based applications and integrate them with existing enterprise systems.
Integrate messaging systems and caching solutions to support real-time processing.
Develop and optimize SQL-based data models and queries for high-volume transactional systems.
Work with relational databases including MS SQL and MySQL.
Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing securities finance workflows.
Leverage GitHub Copilot or Claude to improve developer productivity and code quality.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proven experience building distributed systems and enterprise-grade applications using microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
Hands-on experience with MS SQL and MySQL.
Experience with Redis caching.
Strong experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ, SQS, and SNS.
Experience implementing AWS cloud-native solutions.
Experience working with high-volume transactional systems and real-time processing.
Experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Note: Local NYC candidates only. 3 days onsite is mandatory. Face-to-face interview is required.
