Senior Sales Executive - Accounting

Avalara is a cloud compliance technology company providing tax and accounting software solutions. The Senior Sales Executive will drive new sales growth in the accounting channel by prospecting, developing partner relationships, demonstrating products, managing the sales process, and promoting Avalara For Accountants solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You will identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships
• Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close
• You will develop a high level of knowledge about Avalara's A4A product solutions and offerings
• Present webinars and trainings and attend partner, alliance and industry events to build brand awareness of the A4A offering
• Maintain an understanding of the marketplace, competitive offerings and other business issues relevant to the position
• Develop relationships with Avalara accounting partners to increase opportunities
• Document daily sales activities in Salesforce automation tool, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline and perform other tasks necessary to increase sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management
• Be an active team player both on the sales team and throughout Avalara to help meet our goals
• Provide feedback from field experience to other teams
• Work with internal colleagues and departments within Avalara

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• • 5+ years proven SaaS sales experience
• • You have experience prospecting new business opportunities
• • B2B sales experience with an emphasis on acquiring new customers
• • Experience handing high velocity and complex selling situations
• • Documented success achieving assigned quotas
• • Consultative, solution-based sales methodology
• • Sales experience with financial/accounting applications or hosted software solutions or the banking/financial services Industry
• • Knowledge in the ERP, E-Commerce, Billing/POS solutions
• • You'll bring experience using AI and AI-related technologies, ready to thrive here
