Product Manager (Outbound) - New Products

Abnormal AI is an AI-focused enterprise security company seeking a Product Manager (Outbound) to build field motions for new product launches. The role architects and validates demos, proof-of-value processes, messaging, and competitive positioning through customer engagements, then documents and hands off repeatable motions to the field while providing pattern analysis to Product Management and Product Marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Architect the field motion for an assigned product launch: design how the product gets demoed, how a POV gets structured, and what the field needs to run it at scale — then get hands-on with customer discovery, deep dives, and POVs to validate the approach
• Test and refine messaging hypotheses in live deals alongside Sales Engineers, and diagnose competitive loss reasons
• Brief PM with pattern analysis across accounts, distinguishing a product gap from a positioning or sales-motion problem
• Partner with Product Marketing as a standing collaborator, stress-testing messaging in live deals and reporting what's landing versus what needs to change
• Own the handoff at General Availability: document what worked, what broke, and what the field needs to run the motion independently — then move to the next product and do it again

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Product Management or Solutions/Sales Engineering in enterprise security
• Demonstrated ability to independently synthesize unfamiliar products quickly — given a new product and limited context, you can identify what matters, form a hypothesis, and start building the field motion: how the product gets demoed, how a POV gets structured, and what the field needs to run it at scale
• Experience working in a pre-launch or early-stage product environment before a playbook existed, with a specific program, motion, or deliverable built from scratch to show for it
• Credibility that speaks through work and presence, and the instinct to move toward problems before they're assigned
• Strong written and verbal communication; credible in front of technical buyers and security teams, equally comfortable in a live customer conversation and an internal roadmap review
• High operational excellence and ownership: you've taken a field observation from raw signal to a documented recommendation that a PM or GTM team acted on
• Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to reason through ambiguous problems and move to a working hypothesis without waiting for the full picture
• Prior involvement in new product launches, design partnerships, early-access, and/or beta programs
• Experience running or presenting in structured cross-functional forums (POV reviews, launch/GTM syncs)
• Familiarity with enterprise security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Wiz, Microsoft, or similar
• Comfort using AI tools to synthesize patterns across large sets of qualitative input (support tickets, call transcripts, win/loss notes)
• Prior startup experience
