Principal IT Security Project Manager

Bullhorn is a SaaS provider focused on delivering high-quality products and services and maintaining a strong security posture for its customers. The Principal IT Security Project Manager will lead complex, enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives and strategic security programs from planning through completion, including risk management, stakeholder communication, resource allocation, and compliance alignment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct large-scale cross-functional security projects, such as large scale software hardening, identity management rollouts, cloud security implementations, or zero-trust implementations
• Identify project risks, track vulnerabilities, and build mitigation plans to protect business assets
• Communicate project progress, budgets, and security metrics clearly to executive leadership and technical teams. Ability to present progress in both concise headlines and detailed technical detail
• Manage solution planning calls, team workloads, and identifying budget issues/needs
• Ensure all project milestones meet regulatory standards where applicable (SOC 2, ISO 27001)

Requirements:

• You have 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on cybersecurity or information security
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field
• You have a PMP (Project Management Professional) and a security credential like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
• You have a deep understanding of network security, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and security frameworks
• You have a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
• You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills for translating technical security risks into business language
• You are comfortable being self motivated and working independently
• Ability to work seamlessly with executives and engineers as needed
