Senior Security Engineer

Latitude is a growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned company serving federal-sector clients. The Senior Security Engineer will lead security engineering for federal health supply chain and logistics software, owning security architecture, setting engineering standards, guiding risk decisions, leading remediation, and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Own security architecture across a product line, from design through authorization
• Set security engineering standards and review designs against them
• Lead assessment and remediation of complex findings spanning multiple teams
• Advise on risk decisions and put them in terms the business and the customer can act on
• Mentor engineers and raise the security bar across delivery teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of security engineering experience
• Demonstrated ownership of security architecture for a system or product line
• Deep experience with federal security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and RMF, including authorization processes
• Hands-on cloud security experience (AWS, Azure or hybrid)
• Experience leading remediation across teams you do not directly manage
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust)
• Applicants need to be a US Citizen to be considered for the position and have physically resided in the United States for a minimum of 3 years due to background investigation requirements
• Experience on federal health IT programs
• CISSP, CCSP or equivalent senior certification
• HIPAA or health data privacy experience
• Experience supporting or leading an ATO package
• Container and Kubernetes security experience
• Incident response leadership experience
• Experience working within Agile or SAFe at scale
