Senior Site Reliability Engineer - 1737 - 174640

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a technology-industry client. The role will lead the design, scaling, and operation of enterprise Kubernetes platforms across hybrid cloud environments, while driving infrastructure automation, reliability standards, root cause investigations, and cloud infrastructure strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and scale Kubernetes platforms supporting mission-critical applications across both on-premises and AWS environments
• Establish platform engineering standards focused on reliability, automation, performance, and operational excellence
• Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to improve consistency and scalability
• Lead root cause investigations for complex Linux, networking, and distributed systems issues while implementing long-term solutions
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and influence cloud infrastructure strategy and platform roadmaps

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
• Demonstrated success designing, building, and maintaining highly available Kubernetes platforms at enterprise scale
• Expert-level Linux administration experience, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, and systems optimization
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
