Cloud Transformation Engineer

Arcova is a global cybersecurity and AI consulting firm that delivers solutions to strengthen organizational resilience and protect critical assets. The Cloud Transformation Engineer will assess infrastructure, develop migration approaches, and execute complex transformations across AWS, Azure, cloud, data center, and enterprise technology environments. The role also supports technology debt remediation, infrastructure modernization, mission-critical application resilience, technical troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze infrastructure hosted across regional and edge data centers and identify opportunities to migrate workloads to public cloud platforms and enterprise data centers
• Plan and execute infrastructure and application migrations across AWS, Azure, and traditional data center environments, ensuring appropriate consideration of dependencies, availability, security, performance, and recoverability
• Support the migration of applications and infrastructure from legacy AWS and Azure environments into modern enterprise cloud environments
• Assess existing infrastructure and identify opportunities to address technology debt from the operating system and infrastructure layers upward
• Remediate technology debt through upgrades, platform modernization, infrastructure replacement, configuration changes, and migration activities
• Support the uplift of infrastructure hosting mission-critical applications, with a focus on improving resilience, availability, recoverability, and operational stability
• Design and implement solutions across cloud compute, storage, networking, and database environments
• Work with data center technologies including Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware to assess, migrate, modernize, and remediate infrastructure
• Collaborate with teams responsible for SAN/NAS storage, networking, firewalls, security, databases, and application infrastructure to execute complex transformation initiatives
• Analyze application and infrastructure dependencies to develop migration sequences, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and implementation plans
• Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during migration and transformation activities and coordinate remediation across infrastructure and application teams
• Work across multiple technical teams, suppliers, business units, and stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives through planning, execution, and stabilization
• Participate in an Agile delivery environment, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery
• Produce technical documentation, migration plans, implementation procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational handover documentation
• Ensure transformation activities align with enterprise architecture, security, operational, and resiliency requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience executing infrastructure and/or application migrations in large enterprise environments. Migration experience is essential
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly cloud compute, storage, networking, and database services
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly cloud compute, storage, networking, and database services
• Strong understanding of traditional data center infrastructure and hosting environments
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware
• Experience working with or alongside SAN and NAS storage technologies
• Experience working with enterprise networking and firewall technologies
• Strong understanding of infrastructure dependencies and the considerations involved in migrating workloads between data centers, private infrastructure, and public cloud
• Experience supporting infrastructure for mission-critical applications, including initiatives focused on resilience, availability, disaster recovery, or recoverability
• Experience identifying and remediating technology debt, legacy infrastructure, and outdated operating systems or platforms
• Experience working in highly complex enterprise environments involving multiple suppliers, business units, technology teams, and stakeholders
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
