Data Engineer

TrueTandem is an information technology solutions provider delivering technology implementation, integration, optimization, and customization services for customers, communities, and employees. The Data Engineer will modernize mission-critical government systems by designing secure data integrations and building ETL/ELT pipelines supporting public health data collection, workflows, reporting, analytics, and results delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured public health data
• Develop scalable batch, scheduled, event-driven, and near-real-time pipelines for portal intake, validation, workflows, reporting, analytics, and bidirectional MHS exchange
• Integrate Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Azure services, APIs, SQL Server, systems, and approved file-transfer platforms
• Develop secure MHS SQL Server integrations using approved APIs, stored procedures, connectors, gateways, hybrid connections, or VPN interfaces; prohibit direct public database access

Requirements:

• • Five or more years of experience in data engineering, systems integration, data warehousing, analytics engineering, or database development
• • Hands-on experience constructing and maintaining production ETL and ELT pipelines using SQL and Python
• • Strong SQL Server development skills, including queries, views, stored procedures, data modeling, performance optimization, and controlled database interfaces
