Position: GKPOS L3 Support Mobile Inventory
Location: [Remote] Duration: 15 months Contract

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced GKPOS L3 Support Engineer with strong experience in GK Software/GK POS, Mobile Inventory, and retail point-of-sale applications. The candidate will be responsible for providing Level 3 production support, troubleshooting complex application issues, performing root-cause analysis, and working closely with development, integration, and business teams.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting mobile inventory functionality, POS applications, retail store operations, APIs/integrations, SQL, and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 production support for GKPOS and Mobile Inventory applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to POS and mobile inventory functionality.
• Analyze application logs, error messages, transaction failures, and system behavior to identify root causes.
• Support mobile inventory processes including stock counts, inventory adjustments, stock movements, product scanning, and inventory transfers.
• Investigate issues related to inventory synchronization between mobile devices, POS, backend systems, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application interfaces, APIs, and integration points.
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide permanent solutions for recurring issues.
• Work with L1/L2 support teams to analyze escalated incidents and provide technical resolutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce defects and implement fixes.
• Support application deployments, patches, releases, and production changes.
• Perform SQL queries to investigate transactional and inventory-related data issues.
• Troubleshoot REST APIs, web services, and other application integrations.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
• Support critical production incidents and participate in on-call/after-hours support when required.
• Work closely with business users, QA, development, infrastructure, and integration teams.
• Ensure production issues are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in production/application support.
• Hands-on experience with GK POS / GK Software / GK OmniPOS.
• Strong experience supporting Mobile Inventory or retail inventory applications.
• Experience providing L3/Level 3 technical support.
• Strong understanding of Retail POS and store operations.
• Experience with inventory processes such as:
  • Stock counting
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Stock movements
  • Inventory transfers
  • Product scanning
  • Inventory synchronization
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience troubleshooting REST APIs, web services, and application integrations.
• Ability to analyze application/server logs and identify technical issues.
• Experience working with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GK Software Retail Platform.
• Experience with GK Mobile Inventory / mobile store applications.
• Experience integrating POS with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP Retail, MM, inventory, or store operations is a plus.
• Experience with Kafka, messaging systems, or event-driven integrations.
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting large-scale retail environments with multiple stores.

Key Responsibilities for L3 Support

The candidate should be able to independently:

• Investigate complex production incidents.
• Analyze logs and database records.
• Trace transactions across Mobile Inventory GK POS APIs/Integration Backend/ERP.
• Identify application, configuration, integration, or data-related issues.
• Perform RCA and recommend permanent fixes.
• Coordinate with development teams for code-level defects.
• Support production releases and post-release validation.
