Senior Cloud Engineer – Remote

Confidential is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud platforms supporting SaaS applications. The role develops cloud-native APIs and serverless solutions, manages containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and production reliability while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop cloud-native REST APIs using Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Build and manage Docker containers and Helm charts for Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Develop serverless solutions using AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, and ECS/Fargate
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and GitOps practices
• Monitor and optimize cloud applications using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch/Loki
• Support cloud-native technologies including PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve scalability, reliability, and security
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams

Requirements:

• • 7+ years of Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering experience
• • Strong AWS and/or Azure experience; multi-cloud preferred
• • Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript API development
• • Strong Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm experience
• • Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools
• • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch/Loki, or similar tools
• • Knowledge of GitOps, cloud security, secrets, storage, and identity services
• • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• • Knowledge of AWS SDK/Boto3 and AWS CDK preferred
