Email Marketing Manager

GE HealthCare is a healthcare company seeking an Email Marketing Manager to own the design, build, deployment, and optimization of the USCAN email channel. The role manages recurring and trigger-based programs, provides email strategy guidance, executes Marketo campaigns, oversees governance and deliverability, runs testing, and reports on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Own the USCAN always-on email portfolio. Build, maintain, monitor, and optimize the region’s recurring, trigger-based email programs, including recycled leads, abandoned cart, welcome series, etc. Ensure each program operates reliably, trigger logic remains accurate, and performance insights are surfaced proactively
• Strategize, develop, and optimize email tactics to find, acquire, nurture, convert, and retain prospects. Integrate the insights to refine segmentation and advance personalization and performance
• Build and deploy programs in Marketo. Construct programs, smart campaigns, triggers, smart lists, and static lists. Maintain campaign naming conventions and UTM tracking to preserve reporting and attribution
• Advise, don't just execute. Serve as the email consultant for internal stakeholders across sales and marketing. Speak knowledgeably about cadence, audience definition, content sequencing, subject lines, and related email strategy. Bring historical performance data into campaign planning early so recommendations are incorporated proactively rather than introduced as reactive changes late in the process
• Own email governance and program health. Maintain and enforce email partnership guidelines and the pre-send checklist. Protect sender reputation and deliverability. Escalate and, when warranted, pause activation because of regulatory or compliance concerns, consent or privacy uncertainty, destination-domain concerns, broken tracking or attribution, accessibility issues, or unusual unsubscribe and spam-complaint trends
• Design and run experiments. Write and execute A/B testing briefs with defined hypotheses, single-variable discipline, fixed testing windows, and stated success criteria. Report results against the approved brief, make clear recommendations for next steps, and keep documented record of what was learned
• Report on the channel. Produce quarterly USCAN email performance reports by segment and sub-business code, measured against program benchmarks for deliverability, open rate, click rate, and unsubscribe rate. Interpret the results and identify content gaps, audience fatigue, and optimization opportunities rather than simply reporting performance changes
• Execute event email programs. Deliver pre-show, in-show, and post-show email sequences for USCAN events and conferences, as well as the operational email communications that accompany webinars, such as confirmations, reminders, and thank-you emails
• Keep the operational foundation accurate. Maintain lead source, lead source type, campaign type, and Marketo channel taxonomy so email-sourced leads are routed and reported on accurately. Source and clean operational data feeds and exclude test and internal records before import
• Move work through the approval process. Route email assets through brand, accessibility, and compliance review as required. Manage intake and status in Workfront so requesting teams have visibility into campaign progress
• Raise the standard. Maintain USCAN email best-practice guidance covering subject line and preheader construction, body copy optimized for skimmers, single-CTA discipline, visual hierarchy, mobile-first and responsive design, accessibility and alt text, and the distinction between nurture and drip campaigns

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least six years of hands-on B2B email marketing and marketing automation experience
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying campaigns directly in Marketo. This is a hands-on build role; platform administration experience alone does not meet this requirement
• Demonstrated experience owning always-on, trigger-based, or lifecycle email programs, rather than only executing campaign-by-campaign ad hoc sends
• Demonstrated ability to report email performance against benchmarks, translate results into recommendations, and connect those recommendations to commercial outcomes
• Experience with a template-based email build tool like Knak

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document, plan, and execute programs effectively
• Marketo Business Practitioner certification or above
• Experience with Workfront or similar project management software
• Working knowledge of email deliverability and sender reputation, including authentication, list hygiene, engagement-based sending, and complaint thresholds
• Familiarity with email accessibility standards and mobile-first, responsive design
• Experience operating in a regulated or medically reviewed content environment, including MLR or Veeva-type approval workflows
• Experience with Salesforce and lead source and campaign taxonomy governance across a Marketo–CRM integration
• Experience partnering with sales development or inside sales teams on email sequences and recycled-lead programs
• Comfort operating as the single named owner of a channel, including setting standards, saying no with a clear rationale, and serving as the primary point of contact for email-related questions
• Experience in healthcare, medical device, or another regulated B2B industry
