Cloud Security Architect/Engineer

PingWind is a professional services company specializing in cybersecurity, development, IT infrastructure, supply chain management, and system design. The company seeks a Cloud Security Architect/Engineer to design, assess, and implement secure enterprise cloud solutions for a large Federal Government client, ensuring alignment with Federal security, authorization, and enterprise architecture requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and assess secure cloud architectures and solutions
• Translate FedRAMP, RMF, and cybersecurity requirements into system and application designs
• Conduct architecture reviews to identify threats, attack paths, control gaps, and residual risks
• Support Federal A&A and ATO activities and associated security artifacts
• Develop security controls, reference architectures, patterns, and recommended mitigations
• Evaluate cloud solutions against applicable Federal and industry security requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and Government stakeholders throughout implementation

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation/suitability determination
• Certification in one or more of the following: IAT III, IAM III or IASAE III certifications
• IAT III/ IAM III / IASAE III certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields
• Minimum of 10 years of Information Security Experience of which at least 5 years are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA
• Ability to obtain and maintain required VA background investigation/suitability and system access
• Expertise in Federal cloud security architecture and engineering
• Experience with FedRAMP/RMF and Federal A&A/ATO activities
• VA or large Federal enterprise experience
• Hybrid/multi-cloud security experience
• Zero Trust or cloud security automation experience
