Machine Learning Researcher

GC Therapeutics is a genome-wide cell landscape exploration company using an integrated synthetic biology and AI-driven platform for cell programming. The Machine Learning Researcher will design, train, and benchmark virtual cell models for the company’s in silico discovery platform, process multimodal biological datasets, and collaborate with experimental biologists to validate model predictions and develop therapeutic hypotheses.

Responsibilities:

• Design and train deep learning architectures for modeling perturbation response and cellular state from multimodal training data
• Build and maintain benchmarking pipelines to evaluate model performance and generalization
• Process and integrate large-scale multimodal biological datasets (single-cell RNA-sequencing, perturbation, single-cell ATAC-seq, imaging) into training-ready pipelines
• Collaborate with experimental biologists to define modeling tasks and validate predictions against wet-lab data
• Maintain coding best standards for documentation and reproducibility, summarize results, and create presentations for internal group meetings
• Exemplify scientific curiosity and deep expertise with relevant literature and cutting-edge technologies to advance research directions
• Work with other members of the research team and within GCTx to accomplish company goals
