Asset Management — Financial Institution Resolution & Receivership Support (Project-Based)

Warbird Consulting Partners is seeking experienced Asset Managers for project-based consulting engagements supporting financial institution resolution and receivership activities. The role involves managing distressed and acquired asset portfolios, performing credit and collateral analysis, developing resolution strategies, supporting servicing and portfolio conversions, and preparing asset analyses and management reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze loan and asset portfolios, including performing, criticized, classified, delinquent, and non-performing assets
• Perform credit and financial analysis; evaluate borrower performance, repayment capacity, collateral, guarantor support, and recovery alternatives
• Develop and execute asset-specific business plans and resolution strategies, including workouts, restructurings, collections, collateral repossession, liquidation, and disposition
• Manage ORE/OREO and other owned or acquired assets
• Review loan documentation, servicing agreements, participations, Pooling and Servicing Agreements (PSAs), REMIC structures, investor reporting requirements, and other applicable financial-institution agreements
• Apply applicable GSE and government loan servicing requirements, including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, VA, FHA/HUD, SBA, and FSA standards
• Support servicing and portfolio conversions, including review and validation of transferred loan and asset data
• Prepare asset analyses, business plans, recommendations, work papers, and management reporting in accordance with engagement and FDIC requirements
• Utilize applicable servicing platforms, FDIC systems, and Microsoft Office applications

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience in asset management, credit analysis, loan workouts, servicing, collateral resolution, and management of distressed or acquired financial assets
• Generally requires 3+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, loan workouts, collateral repossession, ORE/OREO, and related asset-resolution activities
• Working knowledge of financial-institution contracts and contract principles is expected; the position does not provide legal advice
• Generally requires 5+ years of asset-management experience, including demonstrated credit analysis and workouts of loans/assets of comparable size and complexity; collateral repossession; ORE/OREO management; asset analysis and business-plan development; and applicable government/GSE servicing standards
• Generally requires 7+ years of portfolio management experience involving applicable asset types, including 5+ years of project-management and/or supervisory experience and 3+ years working with complex assets
• Experience should include servicing systems, participations, PSAs, REMICs, investor reporting, portfolio conversions, and applicable GSE/HUD/SBA servicing standards
