Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer leads products from concept through validation, collaborating with cross-functional partners, translating user needs into designs, conducting mechanical analyses, building and testing prototypes, and supporting research and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Leading product development initiatives from concept through validation
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners to refine requirements
• Translating user needs into detailed designs and specifications
• Performing mechanical engineering analyses
• Building and testing prototypes
• Iterating based on performance data and feedback
• Support research and development efforts
• Document processes and findings
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, methods, and product quality

Requirements:

• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, solve complex problems, and make evidence-based decisions
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development to drive concepts through testing and implementation
• Background in Mechanical Engineering to design, evaluate, and refine components and systems
• Product Design capabilities to create user-centered solutions, specifications, and prototypes
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field
• Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering simulation software, and familiarity with prototyping and testing methods
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely across disciplines
• Organized, detail-oriented approach and comfort working independently in a remote environment
• advanced degree is a plus
• Experience with iterative design, agile development processes, or innovation-focused environments is beneficial
