VDOT TMPD seeks a junior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist/Technician to assist the TMPD Planning Data Solutions team in maintaining in-house planning web tool and providing GIS support to transportation planning staff.
The Transportation & Mobility Planning Division (TMPD) manages and administers the Pathways for Planning System (P4P). P4P is a GIS planning tool for maintaining data and information concerning planning activities including the Federal Functional Classification, National Highway System, Census urban area, future needs assessments, and other planning-associated layers. The system features data that includes roadway inventory, traffic projections, and capacity analysis.
