Hybrid (Colorado Springs --> local, no relocation or out of area candidates)

The Sr Systems Engineer provides advanced architectural and technical support for enterprise systems supporting client. Responsible for planning, implementation, maintenance, and operation of compute (physical, virtual, and cloud) and storage resources, enterprise software, monitoring tools, and related components. Supports a wide range of hardware, operating systems, applications, appliances, and services. Position requires regular in-person presence.

• Analyze data center lifecycle, demand, and capacity needs.
• Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
• Serve as technical subject matter expert for implementations and system designs.
• Administer Windows, RedHat Linux, VMware, Microsoft 365/O365, and cloud systems.
• Configure and administer:
  • NetApp
  • Veritas NetBackup
  • Oracle Exadata
  • HP StoreOnce
• Support enterprise storage, disk arrays, fiber switches, and NAS devices.
• Administer hybrid Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Microsoft 365).
• Perform patching using MECM and Ansible.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
• Create backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor systems and maintain inventories.
• Develop technical standards, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
• Manage software licensing compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Train and mentor IT staff as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Four years of related experience may substitute for degree.

• Seven years of hands-on enterprise systems administration experience in a large multi-user environment.
• Significant experience with:
