Required Skills & Experience

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical hardware-engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on hardware debug, sustaining engineering, failure analysis, manufacturing engineering, or repair engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex server, motherboard, PCBA, or electronic hardware.
• Strong ability to read and use electrical schematics during failure isolation.
• Experience performing board/system-level failure analysis and RCA.
• Experience using electrical lab/debug equipment.
• Understanding of server hardware architecture including:

o   CPU/GPU

o   Memory

o   Power

o   PCIe/interconnect

o   BMC

o   Firmware

o   Networking

• Experience correlating hardware failures with diagnostic and system logs.
• Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work directly with suppliers, ODMs, repair partners, and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• GPU/AI server hardware experience.
• Datacenter hardware sustaining experience.
• PCBA manufacturing and component-level repair experience.
• SMT/BGA/rework and workmanship failure-analysis knowledge.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, SQL, Kusto, or similar tools.
• Experience developing or validating hardware diagnostics.
• Fixture/test-equipment development or qualification experience.
• Experience with supplier or repair-depot technical qualification.
• Familiarity with liquid-cooled and next-generation AI platforms such as GB200/GB300-class systems.
• Experience with FMEA, SPC, GR&R/MSA, CTQ, PPAP, Cpk, or similar quality methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Debug & Failure Analysis

• Perform hands-on server, motherboard, PCBA, GPU/accelerator, and subsystem troubleshooting.
• Reproduce hardware failures and develop structured failure-isolation plans.
• Use schematics, block diagrams, power trees, BOMs, component specifications, and board information to isolate failures.
• Diagnose failures across:

o   Power

o   Clock/reset

o   PCIe/high-speed interfaces

o   Memory

o   GPU/accelerator

o   BMC/firmware

o   Thermal/cooling

o   Board/component interactions

• Perform component/subsystem-level fault isolation and determine appropriate technical disposition.
