National Sales Development Manager

Engineered Tissue Solutions (ETS), acquired by the Heraeus Group, develops solutions in the healthcare and tissue biologics space. The National Sales Development Manager will lead the national Sales Associate program, including hiring, onboarding, field assignments, coaching, performance management, readiness reviews, incentive planning, and promotion assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Sales Associate hiring profile and participate in candidate selection
• Standardize onboarding nationally and certify foundational readiness before associates begin independent field activity
• Own the associate field assignments, and coaching cadence
• Own competency rubrics, individual development plans, and quarterly readiness reviews
• Ensure associates progress from observing to assisting to independently executing approved activities
• Allocate associates objectively across regions and priorities using a visible, weighted scoring framework
• Resolve competing regional requests
• Set individual and program-level goals and coach associate performance
• Document performance issues, recognize achievement, and own all formal performance management processes
• Own quarterly milestone scoring for the associate incentive plan based on objective evidence and RSD/EAM input
• Submit payout recommendations through the approved compensation process
• Maintain regular calibration with RSDs and EAMs so associates provide effective field support
• Prevent ambiguous or conflicting reporting lines between national and regional leadership
• Maintain a visible talent slate
• Track anticipated EAM openings to inform promotion timing and deployment decisions
• Report on associate productivity, opportunity contribution, and evaluation support to commercial leadership
• Report on readiness progression, retention, time-to-promotion, and post-promotion performance
• Compile readiness documentation and 90-day performance trends for promotion candidates
• Incorporate RSD field input and oversee QBR/business plan assessments and structured interviews

Requirements:

• BS/BA in related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in sales leadership, field sales management, sales training/enablement, or talent development, ideally within healthcare, medical device, or a related industry
• 3-4 years of experience in medical devices, biotechnology, and tissue biologics of the healthcare industry
• Experience with skin substitutes preferred
• Previous experience in startup and medium sized companies preferred
• Previous experience in OR, Value Analysis, wound care and start up environments strongly preferred
• Previous experience in skin substitutes strongly preferred
