Software QA Engineer II

The Software QA Engineer II develops and supports test plans, scripts, and process plans, validates software quality, documents defects, and collaborates with development and business teams. The role also provides guidance and mentorship to Junior QA Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
• Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Use software testing programs to run automated and manual testing
• Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations
• Collaborate with other Teams, BA or PO to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with testing tools
• 5+ years of hands-on experience testing in Microsoft-centric solutions and development processes, including:
  • .NET Framework
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • Agile/Kanban Development Methodologies
  • Azure DevOps
