Senior Project Manager - iCRO - East US

APX Life Sciences is partnering with a rapidly growing global Imaging CRO to expand its US Operations team. The Senior Project Manager will independently lead complex, full-service clinical trial imaging studies, managing timelines, resources, financials, risks, client relationships, and operational delivery while mentoring Project Managers and supporting process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of clinical trial imaging programmes, ensuring projects are delivered successfully against agreed timelines, milestones and client expectations
• Serve as a key point of contact for sponsors, providing clear communication around project progress, risks, deliverables and operational requirements
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, reporting schedules and resource requirements
• Oversee project financials, including forecasting, monthly billing, scope reviews/amendments, pass-through costs and revenue reporting
• Coordinate cross-functionally with internal operational teams, sites and external stakeholders throughout the study lifecycle
• Identify and manage project risks, escalations and recovery actions
• Ensure project teams operate in accordance with relevant SOPs, protocols and quality requirements
• Lead and support project-specific training and mentor other Project Managers and operational team members
• Provide project updates to executive leadership and manage client escalations
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
• Support Business Development activities where required, including capabilities discussions, client meetings and Investigator Meetings

Requirements:

• 5–7+ years of clinical trial experience within a CRO, iCRO, pharmaceutical or clinical research environment, ideally within Project Management
• Strong experience independently managing complex clinical trial programmes
• Proven sponsor/client-facing experience, including managing expectations, risks and escalations
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, resources and scope changes
• Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations and clinical trial quality requirements
• Experience mentoring or supporting other Project Managers/operational staff
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally within Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Nursing or a related discipline
