Sr Account Executive (Commercial Sales)

Cedar Financial is seeking a Sr Account Executive to drive revenue growth by prospecting, acquiring, and closing strategic accounts across E-Commerce, merchant processing, and strategic partnerships. The role manages complex sales cycles, develops tailored payment and commerce solutions, expands client relationships, and builds strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify, prospect, and close new strategic business opportunities across target markets through self-sourced outbound efforts
• Manage the full sales cycle from self-sourced or larger inbound opportunity through contract execution
• Consistently meet or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
• Develop customized proposals, pricing models, and solution packages tailored to client needs
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with merchants, partners, and key decision-makers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
• Drive account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and strategic expansion opportunities for designated Tier 1 accounts
• Ensure a smooth onboarding experience in collaboration with internal implementation and support teams for Tier 2 and 3 accounts
• Identify and develop strategic referral, reseller, and partnership opportunities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure partnership agreements that align with company objectives
• Maintain ongoing partner engagement to maximize mutual revenue and growth
• Maintain a strong understanding of E‑Commerce platforms, payment processing solutions, and merchant services
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory considerations
• Provide feedback to leadership on market conditions, client needs, and product opportunities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems
• Track pipeline activity, forecasting, and deal stages
• Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within E‑Commerce, merchant services, payments, fintech, or strategic partnerships
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities
• Ability to understand and articulate technical and financial solutions in a client-friendly manner
• Proficiency with CRM tools and sales reporting platforms
• Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills
• Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with merchants and partners
