Job Overview:

The candidate will join the Help Desk team to provide GIS-related technical support and training to customers, ensuring they can effectively use the organization s GIS products and services. The candidate will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing guidance and training to customers throughout Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to customers via Microsoft Teams meetings, chats, and email.
• Collaborate closely with each member of the GIS team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct training sessions for customers to enhance their understanding and use of GIS tools.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and address software bugs and improvements.
• Stay up to date with the latest GIS technologies and trends.
• Perform application testing and training material development as part of project support.
• Empower customers to create their own spatial solutions when appropriate, guiding them with clear standards and technical support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a GIS-related role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Technical proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Survey123, and ArcGIS Field Maps is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to teach and train customers on GIS applications.
• Demonstrated drive to learn and grow.
• Confidence to manage responsibilities independently.
• Live within the United States.
• Work standard EST hours (8:00am - 4:30pm).
• The candidate will be expected to devote scheduled working hours exclusively to this position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
