Senior Server-Side Engineer

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. The Senior Server-Side Engineer will develop and operate high-throughput foundational platforms and shared services, including request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching, asynchronous job execution, and durable event processing. The role focuses on supporting very high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and shared services that other engineering teams rely on to deliver their products
• Building backend platform capabilities — request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, asynchronous job execution, and durable event processing — that must handle very high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of backend, platform, or software engineering experience
• Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and internal platforms
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or C++
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, or other event-driven technologies
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and search databases
• Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
• Experience with Kubernetes and platform engineering
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of service mesh, workflow orchestration, or platform APIs
• Experience with API versioning and backward compatibility
• Technical blogging, conference speaking, or other community contributions
