Inside Customer Service Sales Representative

Rugs USA is a home and lifestyle company offering rugs and related products through its brands. The Inside Customer Service Sales Representative supports territory sales growth for the Annie Selke wholesale division while managing customer service inquiries, resolving complaints, coordinating orders, and identifying sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Use company systems to provide updates and manage orders daily
• Provide proactive support and service in all customer interactions, including new catalog receipt, shipment status, MRL and NR communications, new-product introductions, and marketing or merchandising suggestions
• Collaborate closely with territory representatives to increase sales and achieve territory goals
• Analyze sales across brokers, accounts, product lines, and sales programs to identify trends and act on opportunities that maximize sales
• Support territory representatives’ participation in regional trade shows, customer demonstrations, and educational tours
• Conduct outbound calls to meet established territory goals, including seasonal upselling, new-product introductions, and promotional opportunities
• Proactively manage customer complaints and provide solutions for issues such as incorrect items, damaged shipments, and shipping costs
• Manage customer feedback and centralize reseller product and service inquiries
• Perform other job duties as assigned and follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• At least three years of customer service and/or sales experience
• Excellent customer service and sales skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels, determine needs, resolve issues, and support sales opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheet applications
• Customer service and/or sales experience in the consumer goods market
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheet applications
