Software Engineer

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer for a remote role based in Orlando, Florida. The position is responsible for servicing Autotime system tickets, developing fixes for business-critical issues, and participating in on-call support and scheduled job verification rotations.

Responsibilities:

• Applicant will be be responsible for receiving and servicing tickets from the Autotime system and will be responsible for developing fixes. Most work will be done servicing tickets with some development as required for business-critical tickets
• The role will start with training on the system to get up to speed but will eventually require on-call flexibility to service business-critical tickets after hours and sometimes weekends. An on-call rotation is being created by the team and is currently TBD but the initial plan is to have one week on-call, one week as backup, and then at least one week off call prior to being back into rotation. Ideally they will have at least two weeks off call prior to being back into rotation but is still TBD
• The client currently has jobs that run at 6PM EST on Sunday and 2AM EST Monday morning and the candidate may be responsible for checking and verifying these jobs have run successfully; this responsibility will also be on a rotation once it has been established
