Fire Sprinkler Project Manager

Mullins Mechanical is a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications and industrial and heavy commercial projects. The Fire Sprinkler Project Manager oversees fire protection projects from initiation to completion, coordinating clients, technicians, subcontractors, materials, schedules, budgets, code compliance, documentation, billing, and technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects, including new installations and retrofits to existing buildings
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, technicians, subcontractors, and internal departments
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, track progress and performance
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ regulations, and company safety standards
• Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatch
• Maintain accurate project documentation
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions for system deficiencies
• Support sales by identifying opportunities and providing recommendations
• Ensure timely billing and assist with resolving invoicing discrepancies
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Participate in business development through sales calls, networking, and market awareness
• Conduct site surveys to determine customer needs and provide technical education
• Provide training on new systems as they are introduced
• Attend annual continuing education classes
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of fire protection systems, proven project management experience, and excellent communication skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with emphasis on sprinkler systems
• Proven project management experience
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
• NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems
• Project Management certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM)
