Mainframe Security Analyst

Leidos is an industry and technology company serving government and commercial customers with digital and mission innovations. The Mainframe Security Analyst will support a government mainframe environment for a large multi-agency health care claims processing system, focusing on RACF, identity management, access controls, audits, security updates, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining mainframe RACF environment and monitoring security access patterns
• Creating and deleting user accounts on various mainframe systems
• Confirming that the proper permissions are in place to restrict access to sensitive data
• Work with the Infrastructure Services provider to insure that security updates are rolled out to various mainframe environments
• Serve as primary point of contact for researching making to corrections to mainframe security and access related questions
• Provide regular reporting on production and UAT security and identity management related processing issues
• Perform user and security audits of the mainframe RACF environment on a regular basis
• Potential ability to work on-call shifts to support batch processing and monitoring

Requirements:

• BS degree and 4 years of experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Experience analyzing government mainframe systems
• Experience managing mainframe user accounts and security environment for a large government agency supporting Medical claims processing and a common workload file (CWF)
• Expertise with IBM RACF and Vanguard Security tools
• Expertise with mainframe and host based security
• Experience with audit and the security review process for RACF
• Able to utilize Incident ticket system to open, resolve, close tickets and Service Requests
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and a high level of focus and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with good time management with the ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
• All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered
