Sales Development Representative

SageReport is a HIPAA-compliant platform that transforms student and client assessment data into editable psychological and psychoeducational draft reports. The Sales Development Representative will build the sales development function, conduct targeted inbound and outbound prospecting, qualify opportunities, support district-level account development, and maintain CRM and sales pipeline activities.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to building the Sales Development function from the ground up by defining processes, documenting best practices, and shaping the systems and playbooks future SDRs will rely on
• Drive targeted outbound prospecting into school districts, tailoring messaging by role (Directors of Special Education, lead school psychologists, Pupil Personnel Services leaders) and district structure to open high-value conversations
• Respond to inbound leads from the website, free trial sign-ups, webinars, and events (including national and state conferences like NASP) with speed and precision, converting interest into qualified meetings and early-stage pipeline
• Conduct concise discovery to validate fit, uncover pain points, and elevate meeting quality before handing opportunities to Senior Sales Directors (SSD)
• Partner with SSDs to support district-level account development researching high-priority districts, identifying key stakeholders, and coordinating multi-threaded outreach that accelerates deal progression
• Execute marketing campaign follow-up and event-related outreach, maximizing pre- and post-event engagement to turn campaign activity into measurable pipeline
• Maintain CRM excellence by documenting interactions, qualification details, and account insights to improve forecasting accuracy and support long-cycle district sales
• Test new messaging, cadences, and prospecting tactics to continually refine outreach effectiveness and contribute to a scalable, repeatable SDR playbook
• Share field insights with Sales and Marketing to strengthen ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) definition, enhance outreach strategies, and increase conversion rates across the funnel

Requirements:

• 0–3 years of experience in a Sales Development or Business Development role, ideally within B2B SaaS or EdTech
• Deep familiarity with special education assessment workflows and SPED departments, including work with school psychologists, speech language pathologists, and occupational therapists
• Must be located in the United States
• Experience prospecting into multi-stakeholder environments such as school districts, healthcare systems, or other complex organizations
• Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools, preferably Apollo and Salesforce
• Experience handling both inbound and outbound sales development workflows
• Experience conducting discovery with education or clinical leaders to qualify opportunities and uncover pain points
• Experience working with or selling into K-12 school districts or EdTech environments
