Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & Data Modeling

Apolis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data solution evaluation and improvement. The role focuses on understanding data structures and flows, evaluating existing architectures, and determining the appropriate use of Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Semantic Models.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric and Data Modeling experience to help evaluate, design, and improve enterprise data solutions
• This role will focus on understanding how data is structured and flows through the environment, evaluating existing solutions, and determining the appropriate use of Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Semantic Models

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Strong data modeling and dimensional modeling experience
• Experience with Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse
• Strong understanding of data grain/granularity, facts, dimensions, and data relationships
• Experience with Power BI and semantic models
• Strong SQL skills
• Ability to analyze and evaluate existing data architectures and solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with OneLake, Fabric Notebooks, Data Factory, or Dataflows
• Experience with PySpark / Python
• Experience with Delta Lake / Databricks
• Experience with data quality, reconciliation, and governance
• Experience with Fabric performance and capacity optimization
• Experience with dbt, CI/CD, or DataOps
• Microsoft Fabric or Azure certifications
