PRODUCT MANAGER V

TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating connectivity and sensor solutions for safer, sustainable, productive, and connected applications. The Product Manager will own the sockets product portfolio, develop and execute market and product strategies, and drive profitable growth and market share gains. The role will lead cross-functional business planning, customer engagement, new product development, and product launch execution.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and industry developments
• Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy and evolving market requirements
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, leveraging market insights to support strategic decision-making
• Develop go-to-market strategies, including direct customer engagement, channel strategies, and partnership initiatives as applicable
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to develop and optimize product footprint strategies
• Define the resources required to execute the product roadmap and business strategy
• Establish and execute target cost and pricing strategies to achieve business objectives
• Partner with and enable the Sales organization to maximize market share and customer engagement through effective go-to-market execution
• Develop annual operating plans, including revenue, gross margin, standard margin, and operating margin targets
• Drive continuous cost-reduction initiatives and monitor progress against established goals
• Identify business performance gaps and lead cross-functional efforts to implement corrective actions
• Act as the business champion for new product opportunities and development programs
• Negotiate and manage key commercial terms, including NRE agreements and product pricing, in a timely manner
• Partner closely with customers, account teams, and engineering teams to develop compelling product solutions that meet customer requirements and secure new business opportunities
• Develop and justify business cases and obtain necessary capital expenditure (CER) approvals
• Work closely with Project Management and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, escalate risks when necessary, and ensure successful on-time product launches
• Plan and execute product launches, including marketing activities, sales enablement, and capacity ramp-up plans

Requirements:

• Experience in Product Management, Business Development, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical discipline with 12 years of related experience
• Ability to work effectively across global time zones, including participation in early morning and late evening meetings and customer calls
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
• Strong customer-facing skills, including relationship building, negotiation, and business development
• Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to develop product strategies and business plans and successfully drive execution
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong focus on identifying opportunities and solving problems
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong internal and external relationships
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences across all levels of the organization
• Proven track record of delivering business results
• Relevant industry experience in data centers, servers, switches, high-speed interconnects, connectors, or semiconductor-related markets preferred
• MBA degree preferred with 8 years of related experience
