Customer Service & Sales Credit Counselor - Remote

Money Management International (MMI) is a non-profit agency that helps individuals create, restore, and maintain financial wellness. The Credit Counselor works with individuals and families experiencing financial hardship by conducting budget analyses, providing financial guidance, and supporting clients through phone and online counseling. The role also involves customer service and sales interactions in a virtual call center environment.

Responsibilities:

• At MMI, our Credit Counselors work with individuals and families experiencing financial hardship
• After completing a full budget analysis, the Counselor makes suggestions to move them forward to financial success and independence
• Counseling sessions take place via the phone in our virtual call center as well as online via web chat

Requirements:

• Individuals with strong backgrounds in customer service and sales in a call center setting
• Able to use empathy working with people experiencing emotional distress
• Able to utilize motivational techniques to help clients move forward in the direction that is best for their circumstances
• Ability to work independently in a telework environment
• Technical skills needed to maintain your home office and utilize on-line tools to work efficiently in your role
