Advisor, Strategic Sourcing Global Products - Fluid Management

Cardinal Health's Global Procurement organization develops and manages strategic supplier partnerships that create enterprise value through innovation, cost effectiveness, and supply assurance. The Advisor, Strategic Sourcing Global Products - Fluid Management, develops and executes sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships and negotiations, conducts analytics, and drives cost reduction and contract value across global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies with the support of cross functional teams by utilizing strong process and project management skills
• Responsible for creating RFP’s & aligning associated business award recommendations in accordance with Cardinal Health’s global sourcing process
• Conduct global supplier discoveries and execute supplier due diligence
• Supports a portfolio of projects assigned to the Fluid Management COU
• Performs and produces analytics that contributes to the formation of budgets and effective P&L management by the business units supported. As appropriate, ensures close collaborations with Procurement Operations and related functions in the Americas, EMEA and APAC
• Drives cost reduction initiatives that facilitate business owners achieving their business unit goals and financial targets
• Directly manages negotiations with key suppliers that require a detailed strategic plan and that have a direct correlation with Corporate operational needs and/or goals
• Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings
• Global experience in category management, including technical product knowledge, cost drivers, related industry dynamics and market trends
• Develop creative solutions to resolve issues
• Estimates Landed Cost using LCM tool
• Track and Manage implementation of price lists
• Manage the NDA processes for the team
• Support as an SME In ordering samples within Cardinal
• Manage critical contracts and ensure they drive value for Cardinal Health
• Support Global Sourcing Managers as appropriate

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise in a global landscape
• Bachelor's Degree
• equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in developing targets, global strategic sourcing strategies, and delivering breakthrough levels of performance improvement across a portfolio of assigned categories for an FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer or a healthcare company with annual sales more than $5 billion
• 4-8 years of experience developing and implementing requirements/change management methodologies to execute strategic sourcing activities
• 4-8 years of experience developing and implementing requirements to execute and enhance day-to-day sourcing activities
• Knowledge of the strategic sourcing procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices and methods and the ability to demonstrate how this knowledge has been applied
• Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• Experience in coordinating and facilitating executive management meetings
• Strong project and process management to execute supply strategy for assigned categories with cross functional teams
• Experience with contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions in line with category strategy
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word, and familiarity with Tableau
• Ability to read specifications, drawings etc
• Experience of leading global cross-functional teams within a large matrix organization
• Familiarity with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain processes to support supplier selection and performance management
