Product Manager – Service Engineering

PTC provides software that brings the physical and digital worlds together, helping companies improve operations, create better products, and empower their people. PTC is seeking a Distinguished Product Manager to define and drive the next generation of Service Engineering and Technical Publications solutions, including AI-powered capabilities, across the Intelligent Product Lifecycle. The role involves product strategy, customer engagement, roadmap planning, Agile backlog management, and collaboration with R&D, UX, sales, support, and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Service Information and Technical Publications solutions interchangeable throughout the Windchill product development lifecycle to satisfy the Service Engineering and Service Excusion and Delivery needs
• Engage directly with customers, partners, analysts, and field teams to understand business challenges and market opportunities and translate those into effectively roadmap and release plans
• Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and prioritized product backlogs
• Engage with R&D teams on technical discussions and provide needed guidance on implementation approaches and backlog execution through product releases activity
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation
• Partner closely with R&D and UX teams to design and deliver innovative and AI powered value driven solutions
• Drive Agile planning, backlog management, prioritization, and story acceptance
• Support product launches, sales enablement, and go-to-market activities
• Collaborate across Product Management, R&D, Sales, Support and Partners

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate combines deep domain expertise in Service Engineering and Technical Publications with strong technical acumen, customer focus, and a passion for applying AI technologies to solve real-world business challenges
• Strong foundation in modern Product Management practices with focus on inbound skills and ability to translate customers needs into successful enterprise solution
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, backlog management, and user story development
• Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Service Engineering, Service Lifecycle Management (SLM), Technical Publications
• Proven implementation experience in service content workflows of enterprise software applications -  structured content, publishing, content delivery etc
• Relevant Knowledge of technical documentation standards -  DITA 2.0 a must, DITA-OTK, Industry 4.0, S1000D, iiRDS, and eIFUs
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), REST APIs, microservices, and modern SaaS architectures
• Familiarity with enterprise search, metadata, taxonomy, and information architecture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong passion for AI and emerging technologies
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI assistants
• Experience identifying and delivering AI-powered customer solutions
• Ability to translate AI innovations into product strategy and measurable business value
• Knowledge of AI applications for content creation, translation, knowledge management, and service operations
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Communication, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Engineering, Solution Architecture, or related disciplines
• Proven success delivering enterprise software products from concept through market adoption
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both highly technical teams and executive stakeholders
