Principal Product Designer - Stackpoint Ventures

Stackpoint is a venture studio that conceives, funds, and builds B2B agentic AI companies in complex industries. The Principal Product Designer will lead design for new companies from discovery through shipped products and brand, while partnering with founders, product leads, and engineering leads. The role includes product and UX design, AI-assisted prototyping, front-end ownership, visual branding, and recruiting support.

Responsibilities:

• Problem discovery: interview users and design partners to find the problems worth solving, and map the full B2B ecosystem of buyers, operators, and other stakeholders
• Solution discovery: put concepts and prototypes in front of users through usability testing, then iterate on what you learn
• Get deep into a new industry fast, and know when you have enough signal to commit
• Set the product design vision and information architecture
• Design end-to-end workflows for AI-powered products, including how users review, trust, and correct what agents do
• Design for data complexity: records, knowledge bases, permissions, and the schemas behind them
• Use AI design and coding tools to go from idea to testable prototype in hours or days
• Own the front end end-to-end, and know when a prototype is enough to learn from and when it has to be production quality
• Keep the team focused on what it's trying to learn, even when it's easy to keep building
• Create each company's initial brand identity, from logo to core visual elements
• Build polished interfaces and design systems that engineers and AI tools can build from
• Keep the brand consistent across product, website, decks, and social
• Help each CEO define the profile for their first design hire and take part in the search

Requirements:

• 7+ years of product design experience, with substantial work from before the last 2–3 years
• Significant B2B software experience, ideally complex, workflow- or data-heavy products
• A track record of improving products through direct work with users and showing measurable results
• Fluency with current AI design and prototyping tools, and comfort with the technical side of product: data models, APIs, and front-end code
• 0–1 experience building new products, at a startup or inside a larger company
• Taste: a high, well-calibrated bar for visual and UX quality
• Care for users: you've made someone's working day better and can show how you learned what they needed
• Curiosity: you keep trying new tools, side projects, and ideas, both technical and about the industries you design for
• Agency: you unblock yourself and move work forward on incomplete information
• Team-first: you prepare well for group sessions, help drive meetings, and put the team's results ahead of your own credit
• Experience with AI-powered products is a strong plus
• Having taken one or two products from zero to product-market fit is a strong plus
• Domain experience (real estate, fintech, and so on) is welcome but not required
