Research Assistant 2

McGill University is seeking a Research Assistant 2 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the AI Platform Development for Collaborative Autonomy research project. The role focuses on developing, evaluating, implementing, and integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning models for collaborative autonomy systems, while supporting research documentation and project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize AI and machine learning algorithms for collaborative autonomy applications
• Design, train, validate, and evaluate AI models using both simulation environments and real-world datasets
• Implement and test AI models and software components
• Integrate AI models into autonomous co-planning and decision-making frameworks
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records of research progress
• Assists the Research Supervisor in conducting research projects using established protocols with minimal or no supervision
